This powerful story is all about resilience and the power of shedding labels and starting again.
The book is beautifully written and has so many gorgeous quotes.

My Favourite Quote:
“They could feel the inside wounds, the tally they kept from the punishments, the things they had been named & deemed,  the ways  they had tried & fallen short.”
Or
“If you can get it, loves the things to have.”

What I loved:
💕FMC messy, honest and resilient journey
💕Later in life coming out representation

☕️ That I have to wait for the sequel

Ideal Reader:
A fan of a thriller with Romantasy. Fans of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.

I read this book in one go but it’s designed as  an advent calendar. I really enjoyed the idea of reading one piece each day. The murder mystery is designed to have you solve the murder alongside the witty detective. This underestimated amuteur sleuth has his finger on pulse of what happened once again.
What I loved 💕:
💕 The advent chapter / Calendar style of the book
💕 Solve along aspect of the mystery book
💕The complexity of the murder
💕Easy, Fun Read
💕Ernest Cunningham- amateur sleuth
What was not my cuppa ☕️:
☕️ Some of the big twists were similar to popular twists in other mysterys.
☕️Ideally I would have liked each chapter sealed for actually opening like I’ve seen other book advent calendars

Ideal Reader:
✨Someone looking for a Christmas read that is  a mystery instead of romance
✨Someone keen to try a book chapter adventure calendar
✨Some on who likes a complicated murder mystery
