Spicy first. Romantasy second.
I was looking for something that was a Romantasy first. I still enjoyed the story. Scarlett Grey is my favourite character and easily a top tier book girlfriend.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I recommend this book to all bibliophiles. The story follows two friends, Grace and Bea. The one woman is a librarian and the other works for the post office.
The women are friends and stand up for justice in extraordinary circumstances.
The book gives you an idea of what it feels like if you’re constantly under observation not just by the nazis but by hungry neighbours.
The aspect of this historical fiction that took it to the next level is the fact that it also show you the impact war has on those with chronic health conditions.
There is no LGBTQIA representation in this novel. Which might be a product of its historical era.
But overall this is a story of friendship & the true power of books. This book walks a good line between historical fact and historical fiction.
I especially recommend this book to those looking for a  uplifting read. People who want to read about female power in a historical context. People who are interested in banned books, Bravery from unexpected people. This is also a book for people who like to read about community.

Narrator:  Delivers the audiobook in a smoothing voice which makes it a relaxing read to listen to despite the heavy content.

Bookish bonuses: One of my favourite bonus moments in the book is the snippets of books banned under  Nazi occupation. It gave you the reason why it was band and the response of the author when they found out it was band.
Facts: The book has a large section at the end explain which actual facts informed what parts in the story.
So if your interest in knowing the facts behind the story.
adventurous mysterious medium-paced

The graphic novel contains some cool art and leaves you creeped out like a good  ghost story on a sleepout does.

LGBTQIA+ friendly & inclusive representation among the friends
hopeful inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

I received a ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
The collection beautifully combines words and watercolours for a very aesthetically pleasing book.
This book would be ideal for lovers of Atticus.
The collection overall takes a positive glance on life. The collection contains positive quotable moments that could easily be used as mantras.
This collection is lgbtqia+ friendly , the love poems are mostly not gendered.
This collection feels like a summary of the early butterflies of when you’re falling in love with someone.

This collection might not suit literary poetry readers as the language is less layered than literary poetry.

This makes for a quick read and could be a good addition to a readathon tbr.

Overall I think this book accomplishes to deliver a positive & pretty collection.

This was a reread for me and I really enjoyed it once again. This characters are extremely loveable , but Agatha is my personal favourite.
In this special edition you get a bonus chapter that features characters 10 years later after the 6th book in the series. You need to have read all books to read that chapter without getting spoilers

I was no this books target audience. The book hyper focus on beauty treatments and the discussion about youth obsessed culture. The mother and daughter have a complicated relationship. I really didn’t like the woman tearing each other down throughout the novel. Lazarus moments in this novel were happening left and right, was hard to keep track of who is actually alive. I also love the tale of the Snow Queen and didn’t like the way it was weave into the story. Prior work by Mona Awad like  Bunny was a 5 Star read for me.

The Agatha’s #1 was a 5 star for me so it was disappointing that book 2 didn’t deliver the same level of wow. This book is darker in themes and more new Adult than young adult in my opinion. Please check content warnings there are numerous.
