I’ve never experienced this much secondhand embarrassment while reading a book. It took me so long to finish this book because I couldn’t get past so many embarrassing scenes. It didn’t help that they both embarrassed themselves on tv the first time but did their reconciliation really have to happen the same way too?!
So much about this book made me cringe; the dialogue, their irrational decisions and I think the author was sort of going for the whole enemies to lovers thing at some point but it was just so annoying. I can’t for the life of me figure out why Kareena had to act that way on the show. It sort of just made her look hysterical rather than what the author was aiming for.
Don’t even get me started on how annoying her family was but I think the author did a good job of showing the dynamics in an ethic household. I also can’t deny that at first I understood where Prem was coming from and his reasonings but he just became so insufferable it was annoying.
I can’t deny that this book had some cute moments and despite their connection starting out as lust, the gradual buildup to love was nice to see. However, I would definitely not recommend this book to anyone at all.

I went into this book thinking I’m going to enjoy it way more than I did because I really enjoyed the movie but always thought that a lot of things were rushed or left unexplained. So I assumed the book would do it justice, unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
I think the world in this book needed a little more building and clarification but I also think it’s way better than some of the other dystopians I’ve read. I also really wished the author developed Ruby and Liam’s relationship way more than that so I’m hoping the second book does that.
I’m hoping Ruby gets some major character development in the second book because she can do so much more with what she is if she just learns to love herself.

I didn’t think I’d like this book this much. I think the beginning put me off once I figured out that everything would happen within a set time frame but once I reached the second half of the book, I was actually looking forward to seeing how Rowan and Neil’s relationship would develop within that set time frame.
I also really liked the character development in this book and I would loved to have seen the graduation day or even how they would handle university and the whole long distance thing. Neil and Rowan communicated so well afterwards and were so cute. I will definitely be checking out other books from this author.

I can remember reading this book some years back and giving it 3 stars but just rereading it while listening to its audiobook has really made me enjoy it so much better.
I think what put me off the most about this book back then was Cybil and her bubbly personality but I find that I enjoyed her way more than Preston this time around. You kind of get to know, understand and connect with her way more than you do with him.
I think I’d definitely be reading this book again in a couple of years.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book. There was so much going on at the same time, so much tension yet it all flowed seamlessly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there.
I think right from the start it was obvious Miyoung wasn’t big on communication and that’s ultimately what had ruined this book. So many things throughout this book could have easily been avoided or solved if they had ALL just communicated with each other.
I liked the relationship between Miyoung and Jihoon but it’s going to be really hard for me to get into the second book.

This book was such a let down honestly. I don’t know how everyone on my fyp liked this book because the writing was just so basic. The beginning felt too rushed and then all of a sudden it got too boring. I’m hoping the second book is better honestly
