Not only is the art absolutely stunning but the story is so gripping and such a great superhero story. It made me really appreciate Supergirl as a character considering I previously didn’t think much of her. Loved it so much and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it

Full guttural pain finishing reading. I felt so much empathy for these characters and it almost became hard to recognise this wasn’t real people I was following the story of. I get the Sally Rooney hype 

It’s like the staple book for anti-racism and feels like required reading for everyone so I’m glad I finally got round to reading it

Very good, informative recourse. At times I felt the writing style may not personally work for me because it had many points of heavy amount of information packed in. But generally a very good book, especially for learning more about this topic.

It felt so strange seeing people I knew in all of the characters, even the ones that would only appear for a few pages. It had such a realistic portrayal of siblings and a complicated family. She was so skilled in tying together themes throughout the whole book.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about every aspect of this book since I read it and it’s been a long time since a book has truly stuck within me so deeply

This really demonstrated why you should learn from the people who have actually lived the experiences they’re writing about. 

You can tell she is an expert in her field because she made such a complex field accessible to learn about. I felt like I learnt so much even if I was a bit too queasy for some of it..
