Enjoyed the first book, despite the ominous comparisons to Sara J. Maas, but this one descends into complete dumbassery. It really suffers from being forced to be longer than it needs/wants to be.

At first was interesting but then the pursuit of Japanese war criminals for executing 3 innocent soldiers when Americans killed thousands of non combatant civilians (a war crime on a much larger scale) and got away with it because they won the war was sickening.
