DNFed on page 45. it just wasn’t for me, the writing style is too lyrical, and i couldn’t really get to care about the characters

DNF at 30%. sadly this wasn't for me, i just found it boring. i didn't really care about the story nor the characters. i didn't vibe with Pet by the same author either, so it's probably just a me problem, since so many people seem to like their books

Sadly this was a miss for me. I tried to pick it up multiple times but it just didn’t intrigue me at all.

only read 3 chapters but realised the writing is just not for me - unnecessarily detailed, long purposeless and awkward descriptions. the characters were unlikeable (at least to me), and the plot/premise felt really dull. won’t be wasting my time with the rest of it, i know for sure i would hate it.

this book isn’t for me. difficult to follow, confusing, lyrical writing

We are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast

Jonathan Safran Foer

very important subject but poor execution - most of the book is made up from many irrelevant anecdotes and stories, written in a quite erratic style. the only section i liked was the second, with bullet-point facts. the rest of the book is pretty much an off-topic ramble about climate change

Anxious People

Fredrik Backman

couldn't connect with the characters and the story - the plot was very weird, and i didn't find the characters likeable. personally, i didn't find it funny at all, even though it is supposed to be light hearted and comical

didn't care much for the characters nor the plot, i just couldn't connect with them. although the premise sounded promising, the book felt flat and disappointing while reading
