This was SO cute. I was getting "Cars" vibes for sure. Cute little small town, grumpyxsunshine, celebrity, forced proximity. There were so many fun loveable cute things in this book!

This book started off slow... Like almost painfully slow. I was becoming unsure if there was an actual plot. But after the accident, things did pick up and became more interesting to read. It made sense as to why leading up to the accident things seemed a little slow to start off, having to create a background history for a few of the characters. Noah was the cutest and I enjoyed the last 40% of the book.

Absolute perfection, as always. I adored everything about this book. It was so cute and funny and lighthearted. I almost would have loved to see more! It was fun to revisit the cute small turn of Almond Bay and even more fun to get an appearance in Canoodle, from Runaway Groomsman! Wyatt at the end was making me swoon hard I could reread those moments over and over!

“I’m fine,” I say despite my throat tightening again. “I know you’re fine. You’re strong. One of the strongest people I know, but even the strong are allowed to feel weak for a moment.”

This paranormal romance was actually pretty good. Leila's power/ability was really cool. Slightly cheesy at times but there was an actual plot that was interesting and exciting, especially toward the end. I'd say this book is a good intro to paranormal/vampire romance.

Anna's growth development was amazing. I could tell, even before I read the author's note, that this story came from a very personal experience. It felt so real. As always, Helen Hoang writes FMC with autism rep with grace. It doesn't feel forced or a label, it's just simply there and doesn't take away from the story. Quan was precious and wonderful and I loved him! He is perfect for Anna. I loved also seeing Khai, Michael and Stella again! Loved this book and trilogy and author!

This book was better than I expected and I'm sad I put it off for so long. I really enjoyed this read. I found it so interesting and even with some flashbacks it was easy to follow along with the main story. Part VII chapter was one of the most beautiful piece of work I've ever read.
