A good introduction to anarchism for those that don’t know much at all. The book definitely helps dispel some confusion about what the term anarchism really means. It is very derivative however, and refers to famous anarchist works and essays constantly, so, if you’re already familiar with other Anarchist works by people like Proudhon and Kropotkin then I would honestly say you can pass this one up. While Chomsky makes a good argument for Anarchism, I personally believe in that the book is a bit verbose and that even certain older words (The Conquest of Bread, for example) would be a better introduction for people who don’t like heavy vocabulary.

Overall this book was decent. It is definitely a book I would suggest buying if you will have no prior knowledge of Celtic mythology or fairytales and you want something that is a broad overview to get yourself acquainted with everything. However, if you’re someone that already has exposure to Celtic mythology, you’re going to find a lot of repeats in this book that you may not be interested in. Personally, I had already read a lot of the myths in this book and some of the included works are more like childhood fairytales than anything else. It does include some interesting work, such as the Mabinogi and the Ulster cycle. However, the addition of some of the more childish works dull down the quality of everything else. It is still comprehensive and a good choice for newbies though. Overall, I was just a little underwhelmed.

Cute art style, cute queer couple, neat monster-centric universe. My only critique is that the action scenes/ conflicts happen too fast or are resolved in ways that don’t always make sense or seemed rush. The character design is so cute though that it still ends up being something I’d generally recommend.

Ugh I hate to say it but this wasn’t great. I liked the first volume a lot but this one was odd. While the art was beautiful, many of the characters acted in strange ways. The emotional development happened at a clip and the ending conflict resolved with a deus ex machina that I personally found unrewarding. Still, I love the art and would try another volume.
