WOW! I fucking LOVEEDDDD that! One of the most enjoyable reading experiences I can remember.

I learned so much in this book and for that I am so grateful. The attention o detail and research was so impactful but not too heady or challenging to get through.

Incredible discussion on colonialism and racism and war and language. UGH

I thought the writing and translation was really pretty

This just wasn’t doing it for me …. :( I was excited to read it but I found the translation hard to follow and felt like it didn’t go anywhere within the first 50 pages (and it was a library book so byeeeee)

Made a goal to DNF more books this year that weren’t doing it for me so this felt good!
