This was a fascinating and very heavy read. The timing of this to YOMT adds some context to how challenging the years were for the family. 

LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! I love all the details and research Critchton did regarding genetics as it lends to how vivid the book can feel. EPIC

This was beautiful and heartbreaking. He is such a great author. 

I loved the generational timeline, but felt that it didn’t connect fully with the “present” day chapters as much other than the omnipresence of addition. 

I love my girl, Joan, but I do think that nonfiction was where she really shined. This is the third piece of fiction of her that I have Reed and I have found it much more challenging to get through any of her other writing.

A gorgeous oral history of the Knowles family. Actually cried ugly tears multiple times. 

Honestly didn’t mind this one! I enjoyed the “story” sections more than the romance which I had a harder time buying into. Overall not bad!
