Loved this book, it was so emotional and so horrifyingly sad (these types of books always are) I bawled my eyes out throughout this book because I can't even imagine myself living through such terrible atrocities. The ending was absolutely beautiful and how this family stayed strong and supported and loved each other through the war was amazing and that is how they all made it through.

One of the best books I have ever read - the ending was joyful and I loved how the author ended the book. Every page was written beautifully and painted a picture in my head of the life of Vyry and her family. Even though the history of slavery was horrible and dark, it made me realize how strong willed the black race is and how they thrived for a better life and worked hard to provide foe their family in spite of the white mans hate. Margaret Walker is an amazing author and I cant wait to read more of her books. I wish there was a sequel to this book so I can read more about Vyry and her family.

CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT BOOK! I found myself literally laughing out loud at this book because of the dialogue between the characters and events that were happening were at times very funny. Loved the book. Jacob is so stubborn it makes me so mad sometimes but I love his character. This was such an easy read, finished it in days. Riggs, please release your next book.

I loved everything about this book. Finished it in one day lol

Circe, pronounced in Greek; KEER-keh, is an amazing book. I absolutely LOVE Circe through her ups and downs, her mistakes and her high points. All of it was good. Yes, the book does have some loose ends but I think the author did a wonderful job with the character build. This book is perfect for those who love historical fantasies about greek history. I would love to read more about the characters, mortals, titans, gods, and goddesses, they are all so fascinating. This book is a MUST-READ.
