I’ve been a huge fan of the Miss Peregrine Series for years! The whole series is SO good, I love how it’s historical, time-travel-ly, peculiar, action-packed, with a hint of romance! The series is built around these antique photos that give so much life to the story!
The Desolations of Devils Acre is the 6th and final book of the series and was everything I needed for the series to end. Even though I wanted more, this book was the perfect wrap-up. I was engrossed in the book from beginning to end, wanting and needing more of each character, the story, and the pictures. The character development was on-point, especially for Jacob (MC, the books are from his perspective); I felt that this was the book that we got to know him in a new light. Noor is my new favorite character of the series, I loved her in the last book but in this book, we got more development and perspective from her as well which I loved. Fiona, Jacob, Enoch, and Horace are my favorite peculiars from the whole series!

Ahhh, this book gave me all the feels and emotions. As I sit and reflect on Ordinary Grace, I feel like I am all over the place because so much happened in just 300 pages, I am wondering how it all fit?? LOL
I'm so sad. Mad. More sad than mad. I was expecting a sad ending but THAT was beyond sad. Great book, amazingly written, but I am sad.
Powerful!! Reminds me of James Baldwin's writing. Loved every word, such an important read!!!
I didnt read this book nor do I intend to. By this mans tweet alone really bothered me so Ima just leave this comment.
Another book about history told by a white conservative man. Instead, read a book from a different perspective in which is not taught because of white supremacy. Read the 1619 Project. That will give you the truth about how this country was founded and how white supremacy is embedded in every segment, in every vein of this country and how slavery shaped this nation into what it is today.
