3.75 stars!

I found this book overall to be delightful, full of wit and charm. It would rank higher for me but the last 1/3 or so of the book dragged a bit for my personal tastes. I don’t think this would be a problem for many readers, however this is outside of my usual preferred genre and I felt that my attention span wasn’t fully engaged toward the end.

It primarily takes place at a school that I have seen others describe as the “Hogwarts of Homicide”, and these portions of the book are a riot. I listened on audio and the NPH narration is absolutely stellar. I will pick up another book in this series should there be one.

I highly recommend for those who are fans of the Thursday Murder Club series or other tongue-in-cheek murder mystery type reads.

not big on true crime but as a Kansan I am legally obligated to read this at least once in my lifetime

what if we kissed in a gothic mansion and both of us were gay and one of us was a vampire

Auralee Wallace! I *need* book three!

edit:

I just read that the Evenfall series might not continue

i need time to gather my thoughts but wowee this was disappointing

the way this book made me feel sooo incredibly comforted and safe… I simply have no choice but to give it five stars
