I loved this book for the first 2/3rds, but as the main tension unraveled it became a a big ??? to me, and that really lessened my overall enjoyment from love to like.

Hot take, but I personally liked this more than Mexican Gothic! It might be the audiobook narrator that really took it to the next level for me.
