This book is definitely one that will stick with me and will require a reread. Though not inherently spooky the psychological elements of this book made me shiver. Each hidden message was a fun aside or added more horror to the already haunting imagery this book provides.
I will say that you don't need to scour the forums or solve every puzzle to get something out of this book. Though I do recommend reading all the footnotes in the order they are assigned.

The art and story in this book were perfection. The story was captivating and heart wrenching as well. Throughout the book we meet a fun cast of characters who all embody monsters in different ways. It was interesting to see how Karen, our main character, become enthralled with the good and bad traits of those around her while learning more about herself through those experiences.

I enjoyed a lot of this book and resonated with some parts that followed my own experiences with understanding my own medical conditions. It was interesting to see the perspective coming from both inside and outside of the medical field.
There were some parts where the wording on sentences was a bit confusing but other than that I thought the essays were interesting and relevant.
