The story hopped around a lot and though there were some good parts and themes I felt like some pieces were rushed, especially the ending.

This book is probably one of the best memoirs I have read. During art school and in a high school photo class I learned a little bit about Sally Mann but most of the talk was about her intimate family portraits. I was engrossed in the telling of how she went about her work as well as how her work weaved into her relationships and history.
