Though I didn't fully understand some of the literary references, I was torn by the end of this book. Memoirs are a challenge to write and after taking a course in autobiography I fell in love with the genre. Alison Bechdel makes a connection to her father in this story in a way that is symbolic and important to their relationship. It made me hurt for them. So in love with this memoir and highly reccomend.
