I related very deeply with this character so I enjoyed her perspective on things. Though an easy read, I think a lot of women, and some men, can relate to the way this character is living through her life, especially in this era. The layout of the book was a new concept to me but I love how each part relates to a new tone and aspect of her life, while still relating back to the part and chapter before. I definitely recommend this book.
I read this book for the Barnes and Noble book club for the month of Feburary. I absolutely adored it. I was able to connect really strongly with many of the characters during different moments in their lives.
This book, though meant to be about how women handle conflict and love, seemed more about how people in general handle the daily situations and events that life can throw your way. Each character has a different way of handling death, birth, work, love, feminism, and life in general, which I think is very special.
Though the author states that she wanted to dive into feminism I dont think that the concept of feminism is shoved into the faces of the reader, I see it as more of an under tone in the book.
I absolutely reccomend this book and would love to read it again in the future.
