I just didn’t feel like it was getting anywhere but also don’t believe in strangers a-bit-too-soon touching each other/being familiar when they’ve been on the bus they get for about 10 minutes
I wanted to love this but something didn’t quite connect. I’m not even sure I can put my finger on it because it wasn’t one big thing. The dialogue felt a little stiff, the characters weren’t massively likeable, the plot didn’t engage me as much as I’d like.
I’m sad to say it was a DNF for me
The premise is interesting but I am not gelling with out narrator and I’m not engaged by the story at all. Not for me.
I was looking forward to this, and I can see why so many enjoyed it but I found the characters unlikeable and also kind of boring? This one just wasn’t for me
I so wanted to love this but I’m just at a point of not caring? Or at least on the way and I don’t want to be bored of these characters. Maybe I’ll come back to it at another point.
The humour and storyline seem really great for this book but it reads like it needs another huge edit. The time-settings feels disjointed at times and it’s quite jarring and it’s quick clunky to read
I so wanted to love this, and I really liked the writing style and most of the characters, but the pacing was just so slow. It didn’t keep me engaged.0
I respect the story and the importance of it but I wasn’t aware of the content and it’s not something I can bring myself to continue reading.
Graphic: Confinement, Domestic abuse, Rape, Gaslighting
Character who needs a masterclass in self respect & self love. Found her a bit unlikeable and frustrating to read so didn’t finish.
I wanted to love this but didn’t find the chemistry believable and it felt a little stilted
