It's a slow and almost clunky start but the strong character development and ending was a story worth listening to

I was disappointed by Ng's monotone writing style and the overall lack of character development. The book itself was hard to read with long run-on paragraphs that really took me nowhere, and the one dimensional characters were not emotion provoking. Nor did much happen in the book plot-wise, and the ending was very unsatisfying. This was almost a DNF however was compelled to finish as it's a book club read and was crossing fingers for some kind of payout.
