I am the kind of person that sometimes obsesses and does extra research on stories in the news; so when I found this book on Netgalley I knew it was for me. I was not sure what to expect from the ten unforgettable stories she revisited, especially knowing nothing about Jen Maxfield. I soon realized some of the stories were ones I had heard of, and others were equally as impactful, and unforgettable. I thought that Jen did a great job with the “where are they now” aspect of the book; giving us the most detail about each story and the people involved. There is so much more to a news report than the 60 second clip we see on TV, and this book really goes into that. This audiobook most definitely made me tear up a few times in my car, that is for sure.
Big thanks to Netgalley and Greenleaf Audiobooks for allowing me to read & give an honest review of More After the Break.

I love a good enemies to lovers story, books & bakeries - so I was very excited for this one! In the long run I would say the story is more of a grump and sunshine trope, but equally as fun to read.
I found The Boy With the Bookstore to be a quick, easy read. I really liked that I did not have to wait a long time for the romance side of the book to start (which can sometimes be an issue). The one thing I had an issue was Max's attitude/reactions to things. He was quite rude on multiple occasions and it rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that I really enjoyed the book and would recommend.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review The Boy With the Bookstore and give my honest review.

Lexi receives a box of her long passed mother's things. After receiving the box her step sister and her came up with a plan to have Lexi travel to Mackinac Island to see if she can learn more about her mother. The rest of the book goes back in forth between present time, and when Lexi's mother, Emma lived on Mackinac Island.
If I would have read this book when I was a teenager, I more than likely would have rated it higher. Sadly for me, I find myself finding most YA books predictable; this book being one.
Some of the things I really enjoyed were - the writing, the setting, the fact that it bounced between past (Emma - Lexi's mom), and present (Lexi), the stories of friendships
Some of the things that I did not really enjoy were - the length of the book (it was a 20 hour audiobook), and the love triangle (that feels like it lasted a lifetime)
I want to thank the publisher & netgalley for giving me a free audiobook and letting me leave an honest review.

This is the first in a new series by Emily March. The book introduces to the Prentice family, who is struggling through family (and personal) issues. I loved the setting very much, it made we want to visit the fictional town of Lake of the Clouds. The book was an easy, quick read and perfect for a travel day! I am not sure I would classify the book as a romance, but more general fiction.

I love TJR, so when I was approved to read CARRIE SOTO IS BACK early from NetGalley I was ecstatic! I went into this book not expecting it to be a favorite, as I know nothing about tennis. I soon found that the story is way more than tennis! My favorite part of the book was the father-daughter relationship between Carrie & her father. The beginning 1/4 was a bit slow with backstory, but the last 3/4 made made for a book I just couldn’t put down. I just had to keep reading to see if Carrie Soto would take home the win. Highly recommend!

I really liked this book, but do think maybe it wasn't quite the time for me to read it as a surge of COVID is happening once again. I think I will re-read at a different time because I think I will enjoy it even more than I did this go around.
