The MFF version of Gifting Me to His Best Friend by Katee Robert.

What worked for me: daddy kink, protective hero, can't help himself insta-lust, respect her and supportive of her career.

Love the unrequited childhood crush and feeling her anguish. Possessive hero and the forced proximity with simmering lust was delicious.

This book is an attack on women over 30. I wanted a sexy librarian and police officer story, not to be constantly reminded I'm near death at the ripe old age of thirty and disintegrating every second.

It's got great baby making spice though.

“All children are good enough to get presents. The only kids who don’t get presents from me are kids who don’t celebrate Christmas, and magic finds its way to them through their own traditions and in other ways.”

I did not expect a smutty Santa novella to give me these warm validating feelings. Blessed.

One of my top 5 reads of 2023
