Love the duet audiobook for reread, so sweet but whenever the male narrator says sasiral, I can't unheard sausage roll.

Am I spoiled by Maiden Lane because I found this flat? It's got many things I love: obsessed and dramatic hero like he can't live without her and grin and bear it heroine with a spine. It just didn't land but I'm still excited for the next book.

I knew reading about a long distance relationship would wreck me, and it absolutely did, but it was also unexpectedly sweet—like a comforting, warm embrace. This book spanned across the couples' lives with overlapping events from Can I Tell You Something, where the MCs were first introduced.

Side note: if you've not read CITYS, you should! It's not necessary in order to read See You Next Winter but it introduces the delightful world of erotic audio and the audiobook is *chef's kiss*

But I digress. Like CITYS, this book is a continuation of Holly June Smith's love letter to the Alps and French food, so don't read it when you're hungry. 

The hero and heroine grew up together, were each others firsts and a safe habour for sexual exploration every winter, like an annual friends with benefits situation. They both wanted something more, but with the distance and their individual dreams, they never asked for anything beyond what they had.

HJS really captured the heartache and difficulty of being in a long distance relationship and the hesitation to ask for more due to their circumstance. The airport goodbyes gave me flashbacks and constantly missing each other due to time difference was so frustratingly relatable.

I also loved the sex positivity and how well they communicated in the bedroom. They're comfortable to experiment and explore their kinks no matter how "unconventional" it may be.

All I want for a Christmas novella is a sweet talking daddy doing some defiling and drinking hot chocolate. I mean that didn't happen in the novella cause it sounds messy but the hero was definitely whispering filthy things, wrecking the heroine with his big festivus pole and hot chocolates were drunk.

The challenge of an insta love novella is always whether you buy the immediate connection and I bought it. I bought the way the characters were brought together through a dating app, starting  with that very first message he sent her. A 20 year old who's never been kissed and wanted an older man to show her the ropes? Feck yes, and the kiss was so scorching, the hero deleted the app because he got scared due to their age gap? Yasss. Then of course they ended up chance meeting and she is his daughter's friend. Delicious.

The throuple from Cabin Mates are also in this, one of the men is the hero's brother and he's got the best comedic lines. If you fancy some strangers in the cabin situation, check that out too to give this some texture.

Wowowie. This book was 100% horny Christmas brilliance. The perfect winter reading to get in the mood for the holidays with the story set over Christmas and enough Noel cosiness but not over the top where it spews candy canes at you.

Overall plot is a road trip gone wrong but also gone right since they're making detours to Bone Town and frequent stops at Squirtsville. It's insta-lust/love between two forensic anthropologists and their chemistry is fire. They bang before 20% and does not stop. Can't stop, won't stop.

The hero is the prim and proper type with his glasses, a hot dentist that goes feral for the heroine and I love it. He is daddy, he caretakes and he protects, and indulges the heroine time and time again. The daddy of it all was an unexpectedly delightful surprise. 

Heroine is young and sweet, who makes friends with everyone but she can be relentless in her pursuit. Her vulnerability ached my heart and her knowledge of random niche trivia made me chuckle.

This was about 100 pages too long and definitely reads like an American writing about the British culture and football. This was disappointingly average and the plot dragged.

Get yourself a pining pumpkin demon who makes his own lube and springs king size beds with a click of a finger. What a dreamboat.

This was interesting? Not strictly HEA since the "hero" is an entity and feeds on her fear. Dark smutty novella of a dancer who enjoys her work.

Oh sweet angst. Brave heroine with a long time crushing on father's friend, scandalously patched up marriage, completed with sad breeding. This novella had all the feels and yearning. Needed more breeding but it was very sweet.

This was so sweet. The author did great work for a novella, the character building and the insta-love connection felt grounded yet magical. Also hilarious. I went in without reading the blurb and it was a fun surprise finding out what the title meant.
