While I liked a lot of what he had to say in this book, I reject some of his ideas about extreme mental illness. While it is true we over medicate in this country and that we are quick to label people, it seemed to me that he doesn't believe that there is any real truth that some people are less mentally sound than others. It also seemed to me that he was, at times, pretty anti-meds. Since Medication has served to help many people I love in my life it was difficult for me to read those passages. Additionally I felt that he came off as a little too much at times. By this I mean that he seemed to be over the top in the voices he choose to use. I do think that this tends to be a good method for communicating when there are problems in our lives. I think it could be useful. I think he might under emphasis the impact others have on us but I respect his opinion.
