I was so excited to read this book but it just .... didn’t do it for me. There is so much happening and such lackluster world building. Almost none of the book is explained well and it wraps up so suddenly it felt forced. It has aspects I loved but overall it just.... missed the mark.

This book was super hard and emotionally exhausting. I didn’t know if I was going to be ok with the end and it certainly has a character who is trying to handle a situation in a problematic way but the author handles it very well.

Gods I love this author. This book spoke so well about the struggles of a young queer Persian girl living in the USA. I love the way the characters transform over the story. Very great read.

This book isn’t the most amazingly written but it is such a fun and kind story. It maybe could have been a little bit longer...

Oh my god!! I’m sorry it took me so long to read this one! A tense read that hooks the reader so quickly and then just keeps you on edge! I am so into this and can’t wait to read the rest! TW: torture, fascism.

These are fun but after a certain point it becomes a bit redundant and a lot less funny.

So these books are..... fine?? I think mostly the plot just moves at such an odd pass. It reads like early 2000’s m/m fanfic which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it just isn’t as good of a story as it could be....

I've read so many books about fangirls and going to cons and becoming either IRL famous or Internet Famous and they all have a similar level of unbelievably to them. This one had less of that but there was still a lot of it that felt.... deeply unlikely. I don't think I overly cared about the characters or what happened to them. I was perfectly fine with it for what it was but I just never got fully invested. I'm also really annoyed at the "person finds they can overcome social anxiety" plot. Not that it's not an important topic it's just that it always feels too easy in the conclusion? Like "Yep, now they are BETTER, isn't that great???" I don't know, the weight of the story was so heavy on us loving these three characters and the plot just never got off the got off the ground.
