Insightful and well researched, this book brings into the modern era what it was like to live in a city on the verge of its final days. I think this book is so informative and really something that we should look at as we find our own civilization rising and falling. I'm super glad I read this even though it isn't my normal type.

This was a pretty fun book, all things considered. Great for fans of Six of Crows but without the quality of writing that comes with Bardugo's books. I think the plot dragged a bit in the middle and there were times when the jumping back in time sort of messed with the flow of the story, which is mostly why I gave it a 3.5. But the world building is rock solid and the slow burn enemies to lovers is *chef's kiss* so there is that! I enjoyed it for sure.

A moving novel in verse about grief and struggling to overcome feelings of guilt. I think there is so much power in this story, particularly in the format it was written in. Beautifully strung together and heart breaking while also being hopeful. I did tear up a bit but honestly who wouldn't? I love that these kinds of books exist to help struggling young people, particularly young people of color who experience loss but frequently don't see themselves in stories about loss.

This is a cute modern retelling of Much Ado About Nothing but make it Sapphic. I really liked the story telling and the character growth. The minor characters weren't as well flushed out and I do think Kate forgave her boyfriend a little too quickly but then that is how the original goes as well. This is adorable and a good quick read that just leaves you feeling good and hopeful.

This book was very sweet. I think it was about fifty pages too long, though, because there were parts that dragged a bit. I like the characters a lot and even though I was sometimes frustrated by them, they all felt very real. Some of the plot I thought wrapped up too quickly and sometimes Charlie forgave people faster that I believe is healthy but those are really my only complaints. Still really glad I read it!

Full review will likely be coming soon. This book is a slow, intense, heavy world building book that was really fantastic.

Gonna think about this one for a bit. It is for sure not above a three. I enjoyed a good chunk of these stories but there were others that..... Yeah. I'll give more detail later maybe?

A solid enough story that could have been improved on with a lead character that doesn't say things like "I'm not politically correct." The mystery element is solid even if the character building is lackluster.

A great ending to the series. I would be fine if we got more eventually because there is for sure directions it could go but I also think it was a satisfying ending. I think the world building is super solid for a kids book. I still think these are the best works from the author. Just a really fun, not too spooky spooky book. Love it.
