A fun, cute, and STEAMY sapphic romance perfect for sports lovers. Phoebe and Grace are an unlikely pair, but Wilsner's incredible writing and development of complex characters in a seemingly soft and cliche romance, leads you to fall in love with both of them as individuals and as a couple. I love a wlw soccer romance as much as any queer does, but Wilsner raises the bar with this one for sure!

I learned so much from this. While at some points I did not care for the linguistic perspective, it definitely added a lot of unique insight. Grieser was thorough and thoughtful in her writing. Highly recommend for DC residents- new and old. 

Incredibly moving and harrowing, with some of powerful, yet lost female main characters. Following the lives of 3 orphaned sisters as they grow up brown in America, I was left speechless at points. Asghar's writing is poetic and stunning. I especially recommend to Ocean Vuong lovers

Speechless. An absolutely incredible book. I read this for a book club and it was the perfect pick, forcing me to think and reflect, while also getting me lost in exquisite prose and compelling, complex characters. I don't know what else to say other than to tell you to read this book, please.
