Burn Our Bodies Down is a YA mystery following Margot who has always been living alone with her mother in a small town. Margot finds a number and the name of a town in her mom’s older books and goes out on a journey to find the rest of her family. But why did her mother leave home?
I think Rory Power writes very compelling stories. I absolutely loved Wilder Girls, it was weird and atmospheric. Burn Our Bodies Down opens a very intriguing mystery and it truly made me want to figure out all its pieces. The only thing that made the story feel a bit off to me was the shift when the mystery was revealed. It was made into another story and I didn’t vibe with that exactly! It was a bit weird, haha. Wilder Girls for sure was weird as well, but at least it started out weird. But I still enjoyed the book and will for sure read everything Rory Power writes in the future. 4/5 stars.
I also got the audiobook from netgalley. I don’t really have much to say about it other than the audio narrator did a great job showing emotion and made me feel very engaged in the story. It was a very good audiobook and I would recommend it for anyone wanting to listen to the story!

The Bookweaver’s Daugther follows Reya, a fourteen year old girl who is the daughter of the bookweaver. When her father is gone, she is the heir of the bookweaver’s power. On the run with her best friend she needs to come to term with what to do with her power in a kingdom where people with magic has been hunted down.
I really recommend checking out ownvoices reviews if you are interested in reading this. Overall, I think the story had great potential but it didn’t live up to any of it at all. Not a single moment in the book bears any weight because there is nothing to leads up to them, we only skip to only the big events but we don’t care when it happens. There were also parts of the book that didn’t make logical and consistent sense to me, but I went more into detail of what in my video review. I have also read other reviews concerning the representation in this book, and again, I recommend reading more about the book before reading it. I sadly didn’t enjoy myself reading this at all, but to say something positive: the writing was very easy to follow. I just think this had some story issues (together with the other concerns), but I will be on the lookout for future releases by the author to see if the things
bothering me here is present in later works. 2/5 stars.

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars follows Kira, who finds an “object”, setting in play a galactic battle, a journey to outer space and a fight for humanity.
I almost don’t know what to say, the journey and the lengths this book went was intergalactic! I was scared to read an adult sci-fi, because it looked so smart, but I understood everything that was going on and was enjoying myself thoroughly throughout the whole book. It has so many themes and parts of it, and the conclusion was very satisfying. The author called this a love letter to the genre, and I see it so clearly. It has found family, an adorable f/f side romance and just awesome space battle and space journeys! I honestly didn’t know how this was going to be, but I have been a big fan of Paolini since The Inheritance Cycle and I’m here to stay for whatever he decides to write next. It had a lot of heart and all kinds of moments that made the story come together in a beautiful arc. 4.5/5 stars.
