Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know follows Khayyam Maquet, a 17 year old America, French, Indian Muslim girl who is spending her summer in Paris. She is doing some research looking into old known writes and painters of Europe, and her path might connect with a woman two hundred years before called Leila.

I go much deeper into the synopsis in my video review btw, because it is about so much more than that! I really liked this book and the themes it held. Khayyam is a wonderful character to follow, determined and funny. I love the idea of finding women in the past that were defined by the men who knew them, that they were not a story on their own. I liked the romance, and see how she grows as a character while reflecting on her old romance and finding all these things for herself. My main issues with the book was the writing, that sometimes felt disjointed. And that fact that these two teens are the only ones who could solve this mystery haha. But overall a very enjoyable read, with great themes, characters and just the right amount of cuteness! Would recommend. 3.75/5 stars.

Ghosted in L.A. is the first volume in a comic series. It follows Daphne who moves to L.A. to start college and be with her boyfriend. But then she gets dumped by her boyfriend and her roommates hates her. She then comes over a house full of ghosts… and decides to live with them.

I love the art in this! I really like the idea of all the ghosts in this house, and why and how they get there is answers I would like answers to. I feel like since it was just the first volume we didn’t get answers or see that much of the story and how it will develop. It is a good start and with interesting characters, so it is for sure a story I would like to see the continuation of. However, I do question WHY Daphne had to live there so badly… like, I just didn’t get the hard appeal. Maybe… she is a ghost and doesn’t know it?  It was good, but it was just an introduction! 3/5 stars.
