THE TWISTS IN THIS ONE?! Omg.

This was such a perfect, fun middlegrade fantasy! Really looking forward to the next book and go on more adventures with Aru Shah!

Descendant of the Crane if a brand new Chinese inspired fantasy. I was sadly let down by this, it didn't really deliver on the ideas that it had. Mostly the problem for me was the writing, which did not match with me at all. There were times I was really confused on what that was happening and had to go back and reread. I did enjoy the world though, and learning about the history of it were my favorite parts.
