I don't know if this existed in the first book which I loved... there was a good amount of repeating information that had just been told to the reader. I also found the narration on the audiobook for the child character to be quite... difficult to listen to. But it was nice to revisit the world and pleasant. 

I really enjoyed the first book in the series. I like each book in the series less and less. I wasn't hating this read... But things get repeated a lot and the book is due back to the library. On the 5th time in the last couple hrs where I got reminded that a certain plot point had happened... A big one that no reader would forget after two mentions... I just don't really care to wait to get it back from the library to hear more of it. 🙈

I really struggled with this one. I think if I had read it physically it might have been better as the narrator made various things feel rather silly and overdone. The idea of the world itself was intriguing enough, but the characters felt rather flat and the writing style was to much for me. I wish I had enjoyed this more... but it just felt very flat and the only thing that kept me engaged was one of the main characters romantic relationships... but it didn't feel very authentically or interestingly done and I hate how the book made it play it out in the end. 

Absolutely cannot stand when books are fully from an animal point of view... I didn't care for the story or main character and was sad to not get to see more of the characters that are sidelined in this story. 

The humor wasn't for me, but the tips, tricks, and food for thought that KC Davis provides is invaluable and helped change something in my brain chemistry. I 100% need to own this physically so I can mark it up, reread at will and perhaps take pages and post them places around my home. Couldn't recommend this enough. Would give it a 5 if I could have written in the book and connected more with the humor. 

If I rated this based on my enjoyment I would rate this a solid 4... but given the incompleteness and lack of any development or conclusion.... I just cannot recommend this to anyone and feel absolutely bummed by it... so less then a 3 it is. *Sigh*

Really enjoyed this book. A lot of great food for thought. The highlighting of hobbies/joy interweaving with important activism work was refreshing and beautiful. I definitely want to read this again physically so I can think a bit more on certain sections. 

I just cannot with how trusting and dumb the main character is. It is also dumb how all the sudden she is hanging with Vane... Like? What? Nobody is "tough" and "pirate". They are all just dumbies and I don't care what happens to anybody. Also the writing is just so vapid and repeats things over and over.
