I liked this. It was fun. But considering how many AI/sentient robot stories I've read I just need more out of a story tackling these themes. Such stories really need to have a point or have great characters or something to really be something great. That all said, it was a fun read and that is the point of reading to me. So a 4 star because I enjoyed myself. The audiobook's narrator really added to the experience.

This is a 3-star execution for a 5-star idea. I think something like this would make for a great full-length book, but given what it was I just didn't feel enough time was given to the character development to really drive this story home. In other words, it was very promising but fell pretty flat in the last half. I would have given this a solid 3 stars instead of 3.5... but the last half of this story was saved by only being about 20 pages to get through.
If someone reads this and knows a full-length novel along similar lines, I would love a book recommendation of it.

I think for others this could be an interesting story. I really have nothing to fault on the writing, plot, or characters... I just didn't really care for it. I didn't find the format, style, characters, or themes to really pull me in any way. If this wasn't a short story I would have set it down after the first 10 pages as it just wasn't my sort of thing.
