This book was inspiring and truly enlightening. It is the romanticized true story of those people living in the slums of Mumbai. True story, little bit of filling in by the author. The authors writing style was beautiful and made it read like a fiction book. This is something I would recommend to most everybody.
As always, Lois Lowry gave me no reason to be disappointing. Such an amazing author... thoughtful, modern, fun, and serious all at the same time. I will never get enough of Lowry.
I found this book to be very good, and well written. It was engaging and most pleasing. I would probably enjoy picking this up sometime in the future. I think it one of the better books I've read that has been written lately.
This book was really everything I hoped for when picking up this series. The pacing is fantastic. The characters are fun, dynamic, and experience character growth that I loved to watch. The romances of the prior 2 books continued to be developed in the background and they felt meaningful and good. There were some cringy moments from one of the characters, but it felt in the realm of how that character acts so it was okay. But overall this book was just a real page-turner. It is also fun how true to the original fairytale this rapunzel retelling was while also being distinct and unique. I think way too often cinderella and beauty and the beast are re-done while other fun fairytales are ignored. It was really enjoyable and fun. Definitely a YA dystopian book. But a solid edition to the genre.
This was a super fun and fast read. Definitely reads like a great episode of Black Mirror but with all the authorial power of Bradbury behind it. The Kindle audio version was free and had great narration. If you like sci-fi at all I’d fully recommend.
