Clever and entertaining as Wilde often manages to be. Very much enjoyed listening to the Highbridge Classics Full-Cast Performance audiobook. The theatrical reading with different actors for each person... The perfect way to enjoy a play if it's not being experienced as a play!
This book is wonderful! it is written just as well as the others if not better!
I really like Dottie and her two "helpers"!

I will not read this till I am an adult but I am putting it here anyway.
Mind twisting from the beginning, it made me think. Super strange and interesting the whole time.
Loved, loved, loved it! I'm unsure about how to describe it... but it was amazing.
It made me cry at the end. Which means a lot. I've only cried due to a couple of books.
So good, so unique, so thought provoking, its a must read for anyone and everyone.
I was honestly surprised by this book. It is pure poetry. When I say that... I mean that the phrasing is spectacular, the feelings are gifted, and the story pulled at my heart. I think it redefines historical fiction. It doesn't simply add a bit more understanding of the past. This book wraps up emotions that we should learn to empathize with and gifts it to you in glowing lines of beauty. Told from the perspective of death it was innovative, creative, refreshing, and yet had a strange feeling of deja vu. I could praise the freshness of its antiquated feelings for many paragraphs yet. So, I'll just leave it at that.

I cannot remember how old I was when I' last read this book. I know this is my 4th time reading it however and that I read it multiple times in my youth. I think there is something charming in the characters and plot that remains to keep this book in a solid and important place in my heart. While it didn't detract from the book, I did recognize way more biblical inspiration than I ever remember there being. There is a clear biblical message being conveyed throughout the story. I don't know how to feel about it really, but it was quite surprising to me on this read-through. It's funny what we pick up and what we don't. Young me cared greatly for the biblical... but current me is the one who clocked it.
