Just fairly boring - the characters are unlovable, but intentionally so, which I can always appreciate. However, normally when characters aren't relatable or lovable, I want to learn something but I just did not take much away from this book. But I think Rooney did a good job of producing what this book is meant to be! Just not the book for me, I don't think. The audiobook reader was excellent, though. Very soothing. 

This book was quite boring - for a mystery, I felt like it was pretty devoid of plot twists and intrigue, and the characters were not very easy to connect to. I liked the casual queerness though  - I feel like that's pretty rare to find in queer lit.
