i have a lot of feelings about this book that i'm still parsing through. i don't think i can rate it. these characters will stay with me forever, but i will surely never read another book by her.

was listening to the audiobook and it didn't hit with me. maybe one day i'll return to it in its physical form.

ok i thought i had read this before but i definitely didn’t, because if i had, there’s no way i only have it 3.75 stars

read this for the first time at 14, which was good timing for the teenage portion of this book. rereading in my mid-twenties has its whole own associations with the book ending with her entering her mid-twenties. timing is such an incredible thing. still 5 stars.
