Just couldn't get through this. While interesting, it was written like a text book, so a bit dry and too many pieces about recipes. Moving on.
I unfortunately only got a few chapters in when I decided it was too vulgar for me personally. I don't doubt it's a good story, but for me I couldn't look past that.

Y'all, I couldn't get behind this book at all.
Ali (who's immortal, mind you) acts like a full blown child. She has a STUFFED UNICORN 🙄 and worships her Dad even though she's 400+ years old.
I also still don't understand quite how "weaving dreams" works. It wasn't explained well or thoroughly enough to grasp.
The time line is jumpy. So jumpy. I have no idea what year it is or where I was in the story. It would change so fast I was losing my mind over it.
My understanding is that this is a prequel novel. But based off of other reviews and what I've interpreted so far, there's no point in reading the first official book. Or finishing this one for that matter.

I put this down about 40 pages in.
I just couldn't keep going.
I'm already really picky about what self-help books I read (I prefer things for in the realm of Brene Brown, for reference). I couldn't get past a celebrity telling me how I can fix my life. It's also probably the same reason I've only read one other book by a celebrity, it's just not for me.
I felt like she was trying to connect with me, but her "silly" stories and anecdotes weren't cutting it. I don't feel on the same level as her at all. And the fact that each chapter ended with "things that helped ME" instead of phrasing it as "things that could help you" (or some iteration of that) bothered me too.
We get it. You love your blog and love your life. That's great.

DNF @ 200 pages.
I just can't keep going. I don't even want to pick this up when I have time to. Not meshing with the writing style or story.

Okay, I thought this book was going to give some insight on tidying, but instead I couldn't get over her ideas that all of the items in your house are alive. I mean, really, does my jacket really care if it's hanging with other jackets? No, because it's not alive. Made it half-way through before I thought this became just too ridiculous.
