I don't give one star ratings lightly. This was complete garbage. I have no idea why this second trilogy was written (well, maybe some idea $$) but it was a huge mistake. All the character development was trashed in the name of schlock and it's ridiculous. Nothing that happened in this book mattered, it didn't feel important or engaging in any way. I did not care. So disappointing.

This was so much fun

Important and valuable, but as a story separate from politics, not that interesting

I read this for a book club and honestly didn't expect to like it nearly as much as I did. That's the nice thing about book clubs I guess

3.5 stars. This was genuinely unsettling in some parts and the ending was sad
