This was different than I expected but I really enjoyed it!
funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

I read this on my vacation and it was fantastic! Such a great beach read, and a great book in general. This was one of those books I saw everywhere but the premise didn't sound that interesting to me, but my grandma gave me a kind of beat up paperback of it so I figured it would be perfect for the beach, im so glad!!

This was probably my least favourite of hers tbh but I did still enjoy it overall. It's just, there wasn't really anything to keep me coming back to it

The (Anti) Wedding Party

DID NOT FINISH: 70%

I am rounding this 2.5 star up to a 3  with a disclaimer that I did stop reading at 70%. This was a cute and fun read about the best man and maid of honour getting together at their best friend's wedding. There was definitely some sweetness and enjoyment to it, which is why I'm rating it and reviewing it despite not finishing it. I think there is definitely something here that people will like, but it wasn't for me. It just felt like nothing was really happening. The fact that I was almost 3/4 through the book and it felt like literally nothing had happened, I just felt like I was wasting my time continuing to push through. The banter was cute but it wasn't enough for me. I think if you enjoy slice of life type of stories you will enjoy this. Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy

2.5 stars, this was readable but almost too readable if that makes sense, like middle grade writing with sex and swearing. The plot was a little silly like clearly she was never gonna get revenge. It would've benefitted from more editing

Some fun concepts but I'm not a huge fan of megamorphs

My favourite read of Jan 2024, this was such a good book! Personally I liked it a fair amount more than the first book in the series, I liked the focus on less characters. At first I wasn't sure about the dual timelines because I'm not a huge fan of that in general but once I saw it was juxtaposing both characters discovering the world and what it means to be a person for the first time, I thought it was brilliant. I absolutely love the world this author has created and seeing it expand and learning more about all the different people and cultures is truly amazing. I can't wait to read the next one!

This book was a 2.5 for me. I read Always the Almost and I liked it but this one for me was really slow and it felt like nothing was really happening. I wanted to like it more cus I loved all the queer rep but the story just didn't really do it for me.
