Hilarious, reminded me of Speedboat by Renata Adler. I liked my dog stupid over the orgy, definitely going to read more fante

Stressful as hell to read, but too compelling to put down. Hilarious commentary about the publishing industry and social media

Great follow up to Babel, Kuang can't miss

Funny, chaotic, messy exploration of what it means to be a parent/mother/woman.

I'm surprised how much I ended up enjoying this book. Fante's depiction of poverty is harrowing and I really was. engrossed in each character by the end

Arturo's babbles and delusion of grandeur are hilarious. Fante really knew how to write a cowardly and spiteful man. The book is even better bc Filipinos mentioned

While the writing strength varies author to author, this collection of stories should be required reading. I love that the book covered so many topics and highlighted the many problems of the disabled experience.
