This was insaneeeee! I don’t read much adult fiction, if any tbh, but this was so good!

It was a super quick read for me because I just could not put it down I had to now what was going to happen next and how the next death would take place! Honestly this was so well done, I liked how it was told as almost a memoir  of Grace’s life and it was just really insane to see how it was all pulled off!!

The ending had me like ??? I was so annoyed! In a good way but omg the ending?? I did n o t expect to be reading that as chapter 16! Anyway this was just a whole lot of fun and honestly really crazy I loved it, please read!

This one felt so insaneeeee compared to the other books from this author. It was super fun! Was not expecting where that went at all and I read it in a day bc I really needed to know where the story was going! I really do love multi perspective in mystery books so these are always so perfect and I love all the characters!

Need KMM to hurry up and write another book already bc that’s the backlog finished and I need m o r e !

This was nothing that I expected, not really how anyone pitched it to me at all till the last 10%.

I did really love the story itself, the take on Dracula was refreshing tbf but I just think maybe the pacing was a little off? Like we spent 80% of the book somewhere else, 15% actually learning about the strigoi and the dragon then maybe 5% was what I expected. Idk it felt like I wanted just more from it, so much more! Thé Aftermath chapter should have been like 40% of the book, I wanted to know what happened after more than what happened during the story! It was more of a build up to an event, a little of the event and then over.

Still 4* though because it was just really beautifully told and I had a lot of fun reading it today

This was fun!! Honestly it exceeded my expectations, I was kind of just expecting a sapphic witchy romance but this has a mystery, drama and tension!! It was just really fun! I loved the characters, the relationships, the dynamics and especially the world building. All the attention to detail with the magic system was really cool and having 3 types of witches was interesting! I loved this, the fact it was sapphic was just a massive added bonus ontop of an already great plot!

3.5* rounded to 4.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the last KMM book I read but it still can't compete with the lying series. I do really love how the author comes up with all these twists and interlocking information but sometimes I find myself forgetting who's POV im reading from or forgetting who side characters are because theres always so much to learn in standalones.

That said the twists and turns in this one were really good and I enjoyed the overall plot a lot and how the past linked with the future. It was a really fun read I do recommend!

Every time I read a Grady Hendrix novel I’m just so captured by it and have to read it in like a day! This one was no exception! This might be my favourite yet!!

I love that along with being a horror thriller we got some mystery and had to go along with Lynette navigating the situation, making sure we were safe, trying to find the killer. There were so many misdirects which made it so hard to trust anyone! The twists were really good and I loved how we got pieces of each of the 6 women’s back stories woven through the narrative, it just felt really natural when we found out information. Also I loved the inserts of different articles and media between the chapters, it was a really good touch and honestly the whole book was great commentary on how we treat women and victims of violence and the commercialism of it all. That said I would really love a movie from this I can’t lie! It’d be amazing!!

Side note for how the chapters were named, that was just a really fun touch having the chapter titles be “final girls: ____” like a movie franchise! Obsessed!

Okay so…if you want to cry really hard by the end of a book then pick this one. There’s so much grief and sadness and despair…but also so much hope and joy and love just…man this book made me feel a l o t.

It was slow at the start but the premise is really good and it was written so beautifully I loved it.

It took me a bit to get into the book as well but I think that’s because the MC has my name, Victoria, and my interests which weirded me out a lot! There are quotes on each chapter too from some of my favourite movies I never hear anyone talk about! Honestly the pop culture references were some of my favourite parts. Anyway 4*, this book made me really sad.

This had me crying by the end, especially the last chapter ahhh! Please read this! It gives strong ghibli & kakuriyo vibes

It’s magical, it’s beautiful and it’s sooo well written! The world feels so full of life and beautiful and I love this so much. I predicted some parts of the story but I was happy to be right about them and didn’t mind it being a bit predictable in parts.

Really don’t know what to say except please read this, it’s so wonderful! Really hoping Axie Oh writes some more fantasy like this I’m obsessed.

I haven’t read these in y e a r s but man these are fun! Because they’re written for a middle grade audience they’re super quick to read but the plots are still really fun and spooky. It’s also more gory than I remember but this just makes it better to read as an adult really, I had a lot of fun!
