I read this last night, the more I think about it the more I liked it. Every woman out there has received an unsolicited eggplant picture at some point.....we really don't like it. I definitely plan on reading more of Shaw's work from here out

This is one of the few book of short stories where I truly enjoyed each story in it! Each one was well written, engaging and creepy. I also really enjoyed the author's personal essay at the end of the book as well. All of us who grew up in a time where it was ok to trick or treat by ourselves, well it was just a different time. I hold those memories very dear. I think my favorite story in this was actually The Halloween Store! 

   | I have not read Fur just yet but this was a good short werewolf story that definitely has me interested to read Fur. 

it was published in 1986 so there are a few outdated things but pretty much things you’d expect to see during that time. Without giving anything away this actually didn’t go the direction I thought it was going to but it was definitely still a fun fast read for me 

I was reading this book for a book club and I couldn't stop myself at the first check point and finished this book in a day and a half.
