 This story surprised me quite a bit. The prose was good and the story is definitely one people should check out. 

This was definitely not for me. I read reviews that this was a "gothic gay horror" and it's more like a modern mystery with some ghost. This was a case of going in with false expectations and even though I can generally roll with a change I just flat didn't like what I was reading. 

For me this book made me think really hard about how I would react in a situation like this. The ruins are scary enough on their own but then add in the human factor on what we'd do or how we'd react it adds a whole new layer.
