I really enjoyed this! I went in just expecting a slasher but it'd actually got a lot of story involved. Can't wait to read the second 

While I enjoy Mr. Herold's writing I have discoverd that I don't really enjoy historical fiction even within the horror genre. I'm just way too modern thinking to just enjoy the story set in the time. If you enjoy Historical Fiction you may really enjoy this and I recommend to give it a go! Now, having said this, it is an interesting story. 

Finally got to read this and I can see why it's such a classic
