This was pretty great. I enjoyed all the mystery of this story. I never read Richie Tankerlsy Cusick as a teen and she is shaping up to be a new favorite of point horror.

This was ok but definitely not my favorite by this author

This was an amazing read. Really makes you think about how you'd handle something like this and how much goes into the rescue.

This does have a slow buildup but it was a good ride. I really enjoy Silvia Moreno-Garcia's writing. I did guess the twist fiarly early on but that is more on me than the writing.

This was so much better than the movie was! I saw the movie before I even knew there was a book. I thought the book was so much better at showing the family bonding together even closer for their survival. As someone who knows ASL I have often thought about how it can come in handy in a lot of situations and I also just really loved reading about a Deaf character. There are so many aspects of this story that are just so scary because if you really think about it that is how it would be if it were to really happen. Not to give anything away but humans are always what I fear more than whatever outside danger arrives.

Point horror number 3! It wasn't my favorite but I did enjoy the read for the most part. I did find it a little too much teen romance in the middle and started questioning when it would get to the creepy parts. This is definitely a little more thriller than horror but a lot of them are.
