I loved this collection! Usually for me I find collections have one or two good stories but this whole thing was fantastic! I highly recommend this one, just know that there are some heavy subjects within that may cause some distress. Definitely to make sure to check for trigger warnings. I think my favorite story was the one by NK Jemisin, definitely creeped me out

I'm giving this 3 stars because the book was very well written and the story was interesting. But as a CF person I just couldn't care. This is definitely a story that would hit differently for someone who is a parent or plans to be I believe. There is a lot within that I think someone who has children could really resonate with and would also give the scare factor. I think that I am also far removed from how a child thinks that I couldn't really get on board with Jeanie's thought processes throughout either.

I actually really enjoyed this story! The opening scene definitely paints a picture I'll not get out of my head for a while. Thorne has a great writing style that kept me engaged in the story the whole time. Though it did take a few sitting for me to read because of life, I really didn't want to put it down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next and Thorne really does have a way of describing scenes that definitely made me react with my face. I look forward to reading more of Thorne's work in the future!
