I rather enjoyed this read. It flowed well for me so was an easy read.
I did get to where the story was going before the characters did, but that did not detract from the enjoyment.
I am looking forward to delving back into the world.

A cute story about two best friends on their last shift at their autumn temp job on a mission to find Josiah the girl.
I love the illustrations. I love the characters. It's a short snippet in their lives, but I can see that these are my kind of people

**I was given this to read via NetGallery**
It was lovely going back into the world Kesia has created.
There is a link to the first book in this series, but this can be read as a stand alone.
The alternating of chapters between the two main characters, Livio and Beatrice, made it easy to follow for me. Even when their paths finally merged, their voices/POV were distinct and keep the flow well. Beatrice was my favourite of the two and I would like to read more of her story.
As the story progressed, I did see a few things coming, but that didn't detract from the telling of it at all.
It is well written and well worth a read.
I really hope there is more from this world. Maybe some stories set around the time the nine gods took control of the magic. But I feel (and hope) there is a lot that can be done!

Angie Thomas is one of my favourite authors of the last few years.
On the Come Up is a brilliant read and a roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, cried, got angry, got scared and super happy by the end.
I think everyone needs to read this.

Oh my days. This was a wonderful read.
A girl with her nose stuck in books, finally gets her chance to travel and explore the places, and do the things she has read about. And she does it by becoming a pirate! (So awesome)
Following Aleja on her first adventure aboard the Ship of Shadows was just what I needed.
A story of ship full of female pirates is something I wish I had when I was a child, but this is wonderful to read it as an adult.
Cannot wait for the next installment (which I hope there is)

Matt Haig never disappoints. When he first announced he was writing this book, I was already sold on the idea.
This is great read and even though the book is fiction, it does make you think about your own life.
The chapter "A thing I have learner (written by a nobody who has been everybody), hits the nail on head with how to look at life.
Regrets happen. We all have them. Remedying one doesn't always give you the life you want or need.
All you need to do is live with what you have. All you can change is what happens from this moment on.
Thank you Matt for another great read.

It put a smile on my face which is what I needed. Yarrrrgh!
I know it's for little ones but two of my faves are together again creating magic with words and art. They never disapoint.
Short but ever so sweet.
Funny, witty and awesome to look at!
