Brilliant!! Not my usual genre, but I couldn’t put it down. Fantastic twist at the end! Highly recommend this. Will definitely be adding more Colleen Hoover to my TBR list.

Best book I’ve read this year (and probably last year!). Love love loved the strong female characters. I identified with Lydia as a mother protecting her child. This book opened my eyes to the reality of the Mexican Immigaration crisis. Beautifully written. A much deserved 5 stars!

Not the best. I found this book really frustrating. Repeating the same pattern throughout the book until the last few chapters. Is was also a bit excessively cheesy for me and lacked character depth.

This book made me cry. I was invested in the fates of the characters. I think what made this book so good was the fact that what happened was so devastatingly possible. It highlighted the fragility of life, and how quickly things you take for granted can change. Very good!

Enjoyable but not mind blowing. I found it started out slow and then rushed the ending a bit. I guessed most of the ending pretty early on. Character development was pretty good, though I felt that Emma’s character at the end didn’t quite fit with how she’d been built up. I suppose that was the point to a degree, but it was too hard a switch for me.

Wow! Incredible book. I cannot believe I had this sat unread on my bookshelf for 18 months!! I absolutely loved the way this was written. Beautiful, compelling and heartbreaking. All of the characters were written as imperfect, flawed people. Strong and yet damaged by the traumas they had experienced in their lives. Really interesting viewpoints. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

I found this book really enlightening. Concepts that I had not really thought about, but which are absolutely true shon through. I found the style quite aggressive, and though I understand why, it took away from some of the messaging for me. Overall a must read for anyone looking to educate themselves on the reality of institutional and structural racism.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. Living in the UK we see immigrants every day, but never see their stories. This book opened my eyes to the reality of the many refugees fleeing conflict. Beautifully written. I highly recommend this book.

After reading this when I was a teenager, I have finally had the joy of reading it to my son. He loved discovering all the bits that weren’t in the movie. Fantastic book
