Not gonna lie I understand almost none of this 

I really wanted to like this book, I really, really did,  but the lack of any substance really started irritating me after the first hundred pages. The characters lack personality, and the author doesn’t seem to understand the concept of “show don’t tell”. It was alway “she was happy” “she did this” there was never any real description or time for the reader to piece things together on their own.
