Short and sweet :)

I read this for my library book club. It was interesting, but I probably would not have ever picked it up if it weren't for the club.

I've finally done it! I've joined my local library's book club. This was the first book of our start to the book club year! It was an interesting book, but ultimately hard to follow.

Battle of the Books book #2

This was okay. It made me smile in a few places, but there was nothing about this book that completely changed my life.

It is really a special experience to read a book about someone who not only looks like you but is similar to you in other ways. When I heard that there was a book about a black girl on the asexual spectrum I HAD to pick it up. The beginning of the book was a little hard for me to get into. Alice is a very particular person and I had a hard time understanding her mannerisms at first. However, after I got into it, I really enjoyed it! This book is super cute and I wish there were more like it :)

Hmm.....I read it. I'm not quite sure what the point was though. During quarantine, I've been baking a lot of bread. I wasn't as committed as Lois though, and I let my sourdough starter die. Maybe I would have been more interested in her story if I was a more avid bread baker XD

Reread July 2020
I love this book it will always be a favorite.

I’m so sad that it’s over :(

I have had this book on my TBR list FOREVER. When I say forever, I mean like it's been on my list since 2013. And, because I'm trying to read through my TBR list in order, I picked this book up. HOLY MOLY Y'ALL!

I read the first chapter of this book and I knew that I was going to love it. I'm usually reluctant to start really long books, even when I know I'm going to like them, because I don't want to have to read through 200 pages in order to get to the good stuff. This was not the case with this book. I was in love with it as soon as I started it and I was never bored.

Was this the best book that I've ever read? No. But did it give me feels up the wazoo? OH YES. I found myself going back and reading specific chapters because I absolutely loved them. I haven't read a love story that I've liked in a long time. This book FINALLY brought me a love story that I could fangirl over. Now I'm at a lose. I want there to be more of this book. But, alas! I will just have to watch the movie and hope that they don't mess everything up.

Another Battle of the Books book. It was okay. Not my very favorite, but it was okay. I think this would be one I have in my library, but I wouldn't read it to my students as a read-aloud.

What a lovely book! It was such a joy to follow Robin's story. I wish that there was more :)

Another battle of the books! I think this one would probably be a little more fun to read than to listen to, but I think students in my classroom (who live on farms) would really enjoy this book! :)
